Service Overview
Fashion Formula Academy’s Vendor Placement services are designed to connect clients with vendors and products that align with their business goals. Services may include sourcing, vendor recommendations, sourcing reports, product photos, sourcing notes, vendor introductions, and related guidance.
Vendor Placement services do not include purchasing inventory on behalf of clients, managing vendor accounts, collecting payments for vendors, or guaranteeing vendor participation, inventory availability, or business results.
Refund policy
Before Work Begins:
Clients may cancel their project within 24 hours of payment for a full refund, provided sourcing has not begun.
If sourcing has already begun, the project becomes non-refundable.
After Sourcing Begins:
All Vendor Placement services are non-refundable once sourcing has started.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Market research
- Vendor research
- Vendor outreach
- Showroom visits
- Product sourcing
- Report preparation
- Vendor matching
- Vendor introductions
Because each project is customized to the client’s needs, completed work cannot be returned or exchanged.
No Guarantee of results
Fashion Formula Academy does not guarantee:
- Vendor acceptance
- Inventory availability
- Product availability
- Pricing
- Product quality
- Sales performance
- Business success
- Vendor responsiveness
The service being purchased is the sourcing and vendor placement process itself.
Vendor Approval & Participation
Vendor participation, account approvals, minimum order requirements, pricing, inventory availability, and purchasing privileges are determined solely by each vendor.
Fashion Formula Academy cannot guarantee approval with any vendor or access to any specific vendor.
Inventory Availability & Pricing
The Los Angeles Fashion District is a fast-moving marketplace. Inventory levels, colors, sizing, pricing, vendor offerings, and product availability may change at any time.
Fashion Formula Academy cannot guarantee that products featured in a sourcing report will remain available after delivery of the report.
Clients are encouraged to review sourcing reports and make purchasing decisions promptly.
Failure to Purchase Inventory
Clients are not required to purchase inventory from any recommended vendor.
A decision not to purchase inventory does not qualify for a refund, as the sourcing service has already been completed.
Vendor Introductions
Once selections are made, Fashion Formula Academy may facilitate introductions between clients and selected vendors.
Final purchasing agreements, invoices, payment arrangements, shipping arrangements, and order terms remain solely between the client and vendor unless separate logistics services have been purchased through Fashion Formula.
Follow-Up Communication Window
Vendor Placement services include up to 14 calendar days of follow-up communication after delivery of the sourcing report.
This communication period is intended for:
- Clarification of sourcing report information
- Questions regarding recommended vendors
- Questions regarding recommended products
- Vendor introduction coordination
The following are not included within the communication window:
- Additional sourcing requests
- Revisiting vendors
- New product searches
- Additional vendor recommendations
- Updated sourcing reports
- Ongoing consulting services
- Market monitoring
Requests outside the original scope of work may require a new service booking.
After 14 calendar days, the project will be considered complete and any additional assistance may require a new service purchase.
Client Inactivity
Clients are encouraged to review sourcing reports and communicate selections within 14 calendar days of report delivery.
If a client becomes inactive, Fashion Formula Academy is not responsible for changes in:
- Inventory availability
- Pricing
- Vendor policies
- Product availability
- Vendor participation
Projects inactive for more than 14 calendar days will be considered complete.
Required Documentation
Clients are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any required:
- Resale certificates
- Business licenses
- Tax documentation
- Permits
- Vendor-required paperwork
Fashion Formula Academy is not responsible for vendor rejections related to missing or incomplete documentation.
Delays Caused by Client
Fashion Formula Academy is not responsible for delays caused by:
- Missing intake forms
- Missing resale certificates
- Incomplete project information
- Delayed client responses
- Missing documentation
Turnaround times begin once all required information has been received.
Fashion District Market Tour Policy
Tour Reservations
Tour dates are reserved specifically for each client. Because calendar time is blocked for the tour, cancellation policies apply.
Cancellation by Client
More than 14 days before the scheduled tour:
* Full refund
7–13 days before the scheduled tour:
* 50% refund
Less than 7 days before the scheduled tour:
* Non-refundable
Rescheduling
Clients may request one complimentary reschedule with at least 7 days notice.
Additional reschedule requests may be subject to a rescheduling fee.
Fashion Formula Academy reserves the right to approve or deny reschedule requests.
No-Show Policy
Clients are responsible for arriving at the agreed-upon meeting location and time.
A client will be considered a no-show if they:
- Fail to arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time without communication
- Fail to respond to phone calls, text messages, or emails regarding the scheduled tour
- Do not appear for the scheduled tour date
No-shows are non-refundable.
If a client arrives more than 30 minutes late, the tour may proceed at Fashion Formula Academy’s discretion but will still conclude at the originally scheduled end time.
Accommodation of late arrivals is not guaranteed.
In cases of emergency or extraordinary circumstances, Fashion Formula Academy may choose to offer a reschedule at its sole discretion.
Early Departure
If a client chooses to end the tour early, leave the Fashion District before the scheduled conclusion, or otherwise discontinue participation, no refunds or credits will be issued for unused time.
Transportation & Travel Expenses
Clients are responsible for:
- Transportation
- Airfare
- Lodging
- Parking
- Meals
- Personal expenses
- Inventory purchases
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, these expenses are not included in any service fee.
Client Conduct
Fashion Formula Academy reserves the right to terminate any service without refund in cases of abusive, threatening, discriminatory, inappropriate, illegal, or unsafe behavior.
Weather, Closures & Market Conditions
Fashion Formula Academy reserves the right to modify vendor selections, routes, schedules, meeting locations, or tour activities due to:
- Weather conditions
- Vendor closures
- Public events
- Safety concerns
- Building access restrictions
- Circumstances outside of its control
If Fashion Formula Academy is unable to perform the service, clients may choose either a rescheduled date or a refund for any unperformed services.
Rush Service Fees
Rush service fees are non-refundable once a rush request has been accepted and scheduled.
Force Majeure
Fashion Formula Academy shall not be held responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government actions, public emergencies, labor disputes, transportation disruptions, vendor closures, or other unforeseen events.
